Fund-raiser to honor Tait 'Obadiah' White

Students of the ETSU Honors Scholars Program will hold a fund-raiser for Doe River Gorge in memory of Tait “Obadiah” White on Tuesday, April 2.

The public is invited to eat dinner from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday April 2, at Chick-fil-A, 3206 Peoples St., Johnson City.

Chick-fil-A will donate 20 percent of food purchases to Doe River Gorge honoring White’s memory.

White, a student at ETSU, died unexpectedly during the 2012 fall semester. Fellow students of the Honors Scholars program at ETSU organized this fund-raiser event to honor his memory.

The White family has designated all funds to be donated to Doe River Gorge Ministries where White served as a counselor and grounds keeper.

Monetary donations can be made directly to Doe River Gorge, P.O. Box 791, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37658 by way of cash, check or credit card.
