During a time when many people are seeking assistance from local food banks, Geneses and Todd’s Hair Studio are giving back to their local community by holding the third annual "Cuttin' 4 the Cause" Cut-A-Thon event on Saturday, March 30, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Wise.

Each year, the staff at Geneses and Todd’s Hair Studio research local charities to assist with donations. This year, the proceeds from the cut-a-thon will go to The Food Bank of Wise County.

Donations are requested of $30 for women and $20 for men and children under 12. There will also be raffle prize tickets sold up to and all day on day of the event, with the grand prize being free haircuts for one year from each salon, along with a silent auction the day of the event. All raffle prizes and auction items were donated by local businesses and individuals.

Don’t miss this opportunity to get a great haircut and help out the Wise County Food Bank at the same time. On average, the food bank assists over 600 families per month through their distribution centers in Norton and Big Stone Gap.

Last year, $13,100 was raised from the event to support the Southwest Virginia Cancer Center Patient Care Fund.

Geneses and Todd’s Hair Studio are located at 202 Norton Road in Wise, Va. To schedule an appointment for the day of the event, call 276-328-2875 or 276-328-1401. Walk-ins are also welcome.
