Hosted by the University of Virginia’s College at Wise, this interactive, one-day grant workshop will teach participants the best way to search for funding opportunities, as well as how to effectively manage their grant reward once it has been obtained.
Trainers of this workshop include National Director of the Polycom Grant Assistance Program, Elizabeth G. Burton, and Jeff Barlow, area grant manager for the Polycom Grant Assistance Program.
Participants will be shown different types of tools an organization can use to track their grants, as well as Work Breakdown Structures and other project management tools, which can be used to show an organization’s plans in their grant proposal.
Participants will learn the importance of developing a compelling problem statement, how to create SMART performance measures, and how to use creative strategic processes in order to achieve successful results.
The workshop is free, but enrollment is limited and pre-registration is required.
