Teacher Employment Fair set for March 13

College students and other individuals who plan a career in education can get a head start finding jobs during the Teacher Employment Fair set for Wednesday, March 13, at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon, Va.
Sponsored by the Southwest Virginia Public Education Consortium, the Teacher Employment Fair begins at 9 a.m. and will continue until noon. There is no charge to attend and breakfast will be available for participants.
Bland, Buchanan, Carroll, Dickenson, Grayson, Lee, Russell, Scott, Smyth, Tazewell, Washington, Wise and Wythe counties and the cities of Bristol, Galax, Norton and Radford Public School Divisions will have representatives available to talk with prospective employees. Participants should bring resumes and college transcripts for each school system to which they wish to apply. Pre-registration is required at http://www.svpec.com/

The Southwest Virginia Public Education Consortium coordinates with educational institutions and agencies to develop joint education initiatives, promotes and establishes programs to address the educational needs of the area, develops and shares programs for the students and teachers of Southwest Virginia, and provides technical assistance for the implementation of education programs.
