staff report • Mar 4, 2013 at 2:11 AM

BRISTOL, Tenn. — Area girls have an opportunity to “go green” with their prom gowns this spring. The YWCA Junior Board of Directors is holding three deeply discounted sales of previously owned prom gowns for only $25 each.

The sale will be held from 3 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 7, and Friday, March 8, and from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, March 9. The public is welcome to attend all sales which will be held at the YWCA’s facility at 106 State St.

The YWCA junior board of directors is a diverse group of young women ages 20-40 who have a desire to acquire more leadership and service skills within their community.

Their goal is to build awareness and support of the YWCA in the younger adult segment of our community and to enhance and support the mission of the YWCA.

All proceeds of the Prom Dress Drive will support the YWCA youth development and outreach programs.

For more information about the sales or donating gowns, please call YWCA Bristol at 423-968-9444.
