Established in 1965, Ladies of Lee has had, during 45 years of ministry, the opportunity to sing at churches, public and private schools, Biltmore Estate, Hawaii and Alaska and other venues throughout the country as well as in Europe, Israel and the Abaco Islands.
The Ladies of Lee have recently been heard in church services from Delaware to Georgia, across Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama and at the United States Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis.
The conductor, Loralee Songer, is an active performer, teacher and scholar. Songer has performed in numerous concerts during the past several years, most recently at the Chinese New Year Concert at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
Competitively, Songer has been recognized for her vocal talent receiving first place at several regional and state NATS competitions. In addition to her vocal pursuits, Songer has been a presenter at several conferences; most recently the New Educators Voice Symposium, Indiana University (2009) and the CMS National Conference (2009).
Songer is assistant professor of voice at Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn.
