Fans will see thrilling eight-second rides and jaw-dropping wrecks throughout the performance as the PBR’s cowboys risk it all against monstrous animal athletes that can weigh as much as 2,000 pounds.
Bull riding begins at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, Feb. 23. Tickets start at $10 and can be purchased at the Freedom Hall box office or online at http://www.johnsoncitytn.org/freedomhall/. Fans can also get a $2 voucher off general admission tickets at Wisemans Clothing and Shoes, 6001 Unicoi Drive, Johnson City.
There will also be a special autograph signing with recently retired, two-time PBR World Champion Chris Shivers before the performance from 7 to 8 p.m., Friday. He also will sign autographs at Wiseman’s Clothing and Shoes from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday.
The Touring Pro Division provides an opportunity for riders to compete in PBR-sanctioned events to earn points toward qualifying for the nationally televised BFTS, which is comprised of the Top 35 bull riders in the world. The TPD is the developmental tour where established veterans and newcomers compete against some of the most famous bucking bulls. More than 100 TPD events are sanctioned annually by the PBR, awarding almost $3 million in prize money.
