Win Valentine's dinner at cornhole tournament

With a strong arm and sharp aim, you can win your sweetheart a Valentine’s Day dinner during the city of Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department’s Cupid’s Cornhole Tourney.

The tournament, which featuers doubles and singles play, will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9 in the gym at the V.O. Dobbins Sr. Complex.

The theme of this tournament is “Win your Valentine’s Day Dinner.” First- and second-place winners in each category will receive gift cards from area restaurants.

The Couples Group (doubles) will vie for a $50 dinner gift card from Cheddar’s for first place and a $25 dinner gift card from Stir Fry Cafe for second.

The Lonesome Hearts Group (singles) will play for a $25 dinner gift card from Beef’O’Brady’s for first, and a $10 dinner gift card from Biggie’s Clam Bar for second. Gift cards from Applebee’s and other restaurants will be door prizes.

The cost to participate in the tournament is $5 per participant.

Pre-registration is encouraged for this event and runs from now through Feb. 8.
