The Gate City native averaged 26 points, two assists and 1.5 rebounds in an average of 29.5 minutes a game to help the Hoyas (9-3) go 2-0 at home during the week. They beat Appalachian State 83-73 on Tuesday and Little Rock 102-94 in overtime on Saturday.
In the win over Little Rock, the Hoyas were up four in overtime when McClung hit his fourth 3-pointer of the afternoon, drew the foul and converted the four-point play for a 98-90 advantage. McClung finished with a career-high 38 points, hitting 10 of 21 field-goal attempts — 4 of 9 3-point tries — and 14 of 16 free throws in 39 minutes.
The Hoyas return to action on Saturday at home against Howard. Tipoff is scheduled for noon.
