Eldredge and Shong engagement

Sarah Kathryn Eldredge of Washington, D.C., (formerly of Kingsport) and Kyle James Shong of Washington, D.C., plan to be married Sept. 24, 2016, at Chateau Selah in Blountville.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Eddie and Diana Eldredge of Kingsport. She is the granddaughter of Berlina Kappa of Kingsport, the late William G. and Mary Ann Kappa, and the late Francis and Ned Eldredge.
She graduated from Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia with a Master of Science degree in Accounting. She is employed by Tate & Tryon, CPAs and Consultants.
The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Lee and Cindy Shong of Defiance, Ohio, and the late Jodi Shong. He is the grandson of Helen Shong of Defiance, Ohio, the late Darwin Shong and the late Joan and Jim Helland.
He graduated from Defiance College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and from the John C. Whitehead School of International Relations at Seton Hall University with a Master of Arts degree in Diplomacy and International Relations. He is employed by the United States Agency for International Development.
