Cogburn and Lucas engagement

Whitney Nicole Cogburn of Kingsport and Joshua Timothy Lucas of Lakeland, Fla., plan to be married at 2 p.m., Oct. 10, 2015, at the Barn at Boone Falls.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Charlie Leslie and Deborah Gail Cogburn of Kingsport, and the granddaughter of the late Grady and Margaret Stines of Johnson City, and Frances Cogburn and the late Harroll Cogburn of Parrotsville, Tenn. She graduated from Sullivan South High School and received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from East Tennessee State University, where she is currently pursuing a master’s degree. She is employed at West View Elementary School, Washington County, Tenn.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Timothy Scott and Laurie Jean Lucas of Lakeland, and the grandson of James Lucas and the late Henrietta Lucas of Lakeland, and Cynthia St. George and the late James St. George of Lakeland. He graduated from Lakeland Senior High School and is employed by the St. Louis Cardinals organization.
