KPD: Motorist's rage towards estranged wife prompts felony charges

Police are searching for a man who allegedly pursued his estranged wife on multiple Kingsport streets — striking her vehicle with his own on East Stone Drive — then side-swiping another motorist while fleeing an attempted traffic stop.

A car crossed the center line of a residential Kingsport street, striking two parked vehicles on the other side of the road. The driver, 18, had an odor of marijuana when police arrived, and "first stated his steering went out."
