KINGSPORT — Water damaged some area schools in Kingsport and the western end of Sullivan County last week, while lightning damaged schools in several parts of the county. Saint Dominic Catholic School on Center Street sustained extensive water damage.

KINGSPORT — The Downtown Kingsport Association estimates downtown’s top 12 businesses lost an estimated $210,000 in cleanup and other damage from the flood. An estimated 65 businesses were affected in some way by the flood, according to DKA.
