Carter County Sheriff's Department releases name of Thursday night shooting victim

ELIZABETHTON — The victim was identified as Timothy Gary Cook, 26, 183 HIlton Hill Road. Sheriff Chris Mathes said it appeared he was shot one time in the chest and was dead at the scene when deputies arrived.
