N.C. woman accused of beating woman with bat, abandoning her in Carter County mountains

ELIZABETHTON — Doris Ann Calloway, 24, Newland, N.C., turned herself in to the Carter County Detention Center on Wednesday afternoon. She was served with an outstanding warrant charging her with aggravated assault.
