King University Alumni Hiking Event set for Elizabethton Sept. 5

King University alumni will continue hiking the Appalachian Trail on Saturday, Sept. 5. Alumni are invited to enjoy a six-mile hike from Highway 421 in Elizabethton, Tenn., to Watauga Dam.

A 19-year-old man's long held hatred for his mother is believed to have spurred him to burst into a Bristol, Tenn., home on Saturday evening, then fatally shoot her, his stepfather and grandmother in front of six children.
