Gate City man’s trial in sexual abuse case reset for January

GATE CITY — A man accused of sexually abusing a young girl had his trial date moved during an appearance in Scott County Circuit Court. Charles Franklin “Buck” Hensley, 59, of Gate City, is now scheduled to face a jury trial beginning Jan. 21.

ROGERSVILLE — Connie Hope Stapleton, 63, 1003 Old Highway 11-W, Mooresburg, was charged with one count of theft over $60,000 in a Dec. 9 sealed indictment. Stapleton was arrested on that sealed indictment warrant on Dec. 12.
