KINGSPORT — According to Assistant City Manager Jeff Fleming, once the IMAX is built, Frank will pay a reduced amount of property taxes to the city and county for the next seven years — about $800,000 less than they would have normally paid.

Rose Hill man sentenced on child porn charges

JONESVILLE — Kyle Andrew Perkins, 25, of Rose Hill, Va., was given a total of 35 years to serve, but Lee County Circuit Court Judge Tammy McElyea suspended 20 years of that sentence. Perkins was also ordered to serve 15 years of supervised probation.
