Year-round donations fuel annual Thanks for Giving event

Thanks for Giving collects donations from the community and gives the donations to needy families in the area for free. Last year saw the biggest turnout ever for the event with between 1,800 and 2,000 people showing up.

Beginning in November 2012, prosecutors say the defendants stole ink cartridges and purchased a scanner, paper and other equipment to make counterfeit $5 and $20 bills at a variety of residences, including motel rooms.
