Drunk man arrested after claiming burglary by brother

A responding officer located the alleged burglar standing outside, at which point it was learned that the complainant was highly intoxicated, had lost his keys and locked himself out of his home.

ROGERSVILLE — Police believe the vandalism of a grave and theft of grave decorations which was reported at a Stanley Valley cemetery over the weekend was motivated by a dispute between two families.

Update: Fla. triple-homicide suspect captured in Knoxville

SWAT members surrounded the Knox County motel where David Eugene Smith was staying on Tuesday. At some point Smith fired shots, including one at himself. He was wounded, but authorities have not revealed more about his injuries.
