First responders in Scott County were dispatched to an ambulance wreck Thursday morning, just a short distance from where a Virginia Department of Transportation contractor's vehicle crashed Wednesday night.

The pre-St. Valentine's Day Snowblaster left nearly a foot of snow on some areas of Southwest Virginia by Thursday morning and the season's southern-born snowstorm wasn't through with the region yet by any means.
