Inmate dies at Kingsport jail

A man arrested Monday by Kingsport police — accused of breaking items on a stranger's patio, then resisting responding officers — has since died while being held in the city jail.

Airline officials made an announcement at approximately 12:30 p.m. over the intercom system, saying that the airport will be closed for at least two hours. As of 2:30 p.m. the airport's Web site was reporting all flights were running on time.
