On Thursday, Board of Education President Carrie Upshaw released an open letter to the community urging residents to let the Board of Mayor and Aldermen know that support for a property tax increase and other revenue enhancements exists.

A Kingsport man was arrested Thursday and being held without bond after police said they received "hundreds" of reports on his inappropriate behavior over the past week. Claims of theft, burglary and rape are also under investigation.
