The top nine teams in NASCAR for the first time have formed a single entity to collaborate on initiatives and issues facing their sport. The goals of the Race Team Alliance include lowering costs for teams and creating one voice on issues facing them.

A Hawkins County man who was found preaching in the middle of Main Street in Surgoinsville early Saturday morning claimed "God was in him," but his arresting officer alleges that a large quantity of alcohol was in him as well.
