School officials said it would probably take $380,000 to $400,000 to take the nurses full time, but an advocate fears the money won't be spent until a student is seriously injured or dies after a nurse is gone for the day.

Kingsport man sentenced in 2012 stabbing death

Mark W. Breeding, 49, formerly of 1037 Bloomingdale Pike #23, was sentenced to 25 years for the stabbing death of Beverly "Birdie" Hartsock. Breeding will serve 100 percent of his sentence with no chance for parole.
