Kingsport, Bristol and Sullivan County sought a dismissal, arguing the claims were moot since Tennessee approved laws in April 2012 banning the sale and use of synthetic drugs.

Two Samsung Galaxy 5S smart phones were stolen and were valued at $650 each, which made the total value $1,300. The phones were secured by alarmed cables, but the woman was able to get around those security measures.

Based on 2014 TCAP accountability data released Wednesday, Rogersville City School students continue to improve in most academic categories, although the K-8 school wasn't immune to some setbacks which were experienced statewide.
