An apparent gas explosion rocked a jail in the Florida Panhandle late Wednesday, killing two inmates, injuring more than 100 other people, and causing the building to partially collapse.

Shawn Prevo was arrested on Friday and charged with aggravated domestic assault after an altercation with his brother. Prevo, 18, admitted to assaulting his 19-year-old brother, who refused to give him a cigarette.

At the end of early voting for the 2010 county primary the final tally was 4,601. As of the end of business Tuesday, Hawkins County was way off the pace from 2010 with 2,889 total votes.
