Tribe outruns Cyclones 11-2 in regular-season finale

For three innings Tuesday, Elizabethton hung with Dobyns-Bennett. Unfortunately for the Cyclones, the game went seven. The Indians posted nine runs over the last three frames for an 11-2 non-conference win at J. Fred Johnson Stadium.

Eric Aaron Byrd, 716 Melinda Ferry Road, Rogersville, was arraigned on three counts of inappropriate touching of a juvenile. The children's mother, Destiny Amber Seay, 507 Prices Grove Road, Rogersville, was arraigned for failure to report child abuse.

With the District 1-AA boys regular-season soccer crown on the line, University High's Lowell Williams scored three goals in the first 17 minutes of the game and the Junior Bucs made that hold up in a 3-0 win over Sullivan South that secured the title.
