For the third year, Goodwill Industries of Tenneva and local Food City stores have partnered once again for an Earth Day donation drive. Goodwill has linked protecting the environment to helping people find jobs and strengthen communities.

Police were called to a disturbance in Kingsport, where a man claimed his father "had been drinking and was trying to argue." An officer reported that as he spoke with the complainant on the porch, the suspect "busted out the front door and attacked me."
