Group encouraging pregame prayer at Cherokee games

The founders of the Rogersville-based Christian organization "Expecting God's Help" are encouraging spectators at Friday's Cherokee High School football home opener to participate in group prayer during the pregame "moment of silence."

Jonathan Arnold "Bald Johnny" Fairchild was immediately suspected of stealing two handguns from his stepfather's closet last year. When both guns surfaced this past April, that suspicion was allegedly confirmed.

A woman allegedly told her father last week there was a man with a handgun in the parking lot of the Bulls Gap pharmacy. That story, which turned out to be bogus, was relayed by the father to pharmacy employees.
