Police probe burglary at Hunter Wright Stadium

The burglary at the home of the Kingsport Mets was reported on Monday afternoon. A public works employee arrived at the facility, 800 Granby Road, to find a mower and two leaf blowers missing from a storage building.

Officials weren't aware of any damage caused by a hail storm that hit Hawkins County Tuesday afternoon, but icy accumulation made Highway 11-W in Surgoinsville look like a winter storm had just passed through.

In responding to a report of a fight at a Kingsport bar, officers found a woman in the parking lot screaming, "(Expletive) the police!" The female - listed at 4 feet 11 and 128 lbs - then "squared up" and boasted, "Yeah, I said it!"
