Former Tennessee sheriff's captain charged with theft

A former Grundy County Sheriff's Department captain has surrendered to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation after being on charges of stealing handguns from the department's evidence room.

A Kingsport man who posted pictures of himself on Facebook with a stack of counterfeit money, has agreed to plead guilty for his involvement in a five-person counterfeiting scheme.
