Both sides in Ukraine deny shooting down passenger plane, 295 on board

Ukraine says a passenger plane carrying 295 people was shot down Thursday as it flew over the country, and both the government and the pro-Russia separatists who have been fighting in the region denied any responsibility.

A man who reportedly lost control of his vehicle while speeding along a residential Kingsport street, striking a home and sending debris into the face of one person on the porch, has been apprehended nearly a week after fleeing the scene.
