Man using 'blowtorch' to kill spider sets house ablaze

The man and his mother got out of the house, which sustained $60,000 worth of damage. Added a fire department spokesman, "I'm pretty sure the spider did not survive this fire."

No one saw it coming. The core of Kingsport's downtown area was at the end of its business day on July 17, 2013, when a cloudburst hit hard. In a matter of minutes, there was five feet of standing water in the vicinity of Broad and Market streets.
