Baltimore officials: No immediate decision in Gray case

Having weathered two all-night curfews with no major disturbances, Baltimore officials are now trying to manage growing expectations they will immediately decide whether to prosecute six police officers involved in the arrest of a Freddie Gray.

A Kingsport crash seriously injured three people when a car struck a guardrail along Interstate 26 at a high rate of speed, then rolled and came to rest upside down to be hit by a passing SUV.

Due to cuts in federal housing funds, the Kingsport Housing and Redevelopment Authority has had to freeze employee salaries, modify its health care benefits and eliminate a few positions in order to reduce costs and balance its budget.

Holston Valley patient info found in Bristol recycling bin

A nurse's notes on 1,726 Holston Valley patients were disposed in a bin at Steele Creek Park. Wellmont said the notes were not part of any patients' legal medical record, and patients "were likely not" identity theft victims.

According to past reports, authorities were initially notified by Timothy Carter's mother that her daughter-in-law had shot herself. But investigators became suspicious of the self-inflicted gunshot report almost immediately upon responding to the scene.
