Budget Committee hears two requests for Mount Carmel senior funds

Mount Carmel Mayor Larry Frost agreed Monday to schedule a meeting with the current Senior Center board chairman in hopes of reaching some "common ground" for the transition from a private organization to a municipal senior center.

PHILADELPHIA - An Amtrak train headed to New York City derailed and tipped over in Philadelphia on Tuesday night, mangling the front of it, tearing the cars apart and killing at least five people.

Volunteer Choir puts new twist on old 'Gospel Mass' - VIDEO

On Thursday the VHS Choir performs the same "Gospel Mass" that Catholic popes have enjoyed for centuries, although it's unlikely that Pope Innocent VI heard his mass accompanied by drums, piano, and an electric bass laying down a funky beat.

Officers located an unresponsive man lying in a ditch along Melinda Ferry Road. He was transported to a hospital for treatment of lacerations and knots to his head, then later reported his brother had attacked him.
