A bill to allow people with handgun carry permits to be armed in all of the state's parks - and intended as a welcoming gift for gun enthusiasts attending the NRA convention in Nashville - has gotten tied up amid bickering between Republicans.

Kingsport man sentenced in 2012 stabbing death

Mark W. Breeding, 49, formerly of 1037 Bloomingdale Pike #23, was sentenced to 25 years for the stabbing death of Beverly "Birdie" Hartsock. Breeding will serve 100 percent of his sentence with no chance for parole.
