Nickelsville man sentenced to 50 years for rape and abduction

Joshua Ray Parker forced the victim into a vehicle and abducted her from her place of employment in Kingsport. Authorities say Parker then transported her across state lines - against her will - to an isolated location in Scott County.

A Rogersville man who punched, kicked and scratched police officers who were trying to serve an arrest warrant last month was formally charged this week with several charges including five counts of assault on an officer.

Why not pick a day before school starts back where children can ride it free or at a discount who cannot afford a dollar to ride it. I'm sure a lot of children would like to ride it but parents can't afford it.
